Cookie Notice
Last updated: October 2026
WillSafe UK uses essential cookies to run the site. If you choose “Accept all” in our cookie banner, we also load Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised session replays to help us improve the site and sets its own cookies, and Google Analytics 4, which measures how the site is used. These load only after you accept all; they are not loaded if you choose essential only. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies or tags.
Essential cookies (always on)
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
sb-* | Database session management (Supabase) | Session |
ws-cookie-consent | Remembers your cookie preference. This is not a cookie: your choice is stored in your browser’s localStorage and is never sent to our server. | Until you clear it |
ws_acq | First-party cookie that records how you reached us (referrer, any campaign tags, landing page), so we can attribute a sale to a channel. Set only if you accept all. | 30 days |
__stripe_mid | Fraud prevention during checkout (Stripe) | 12 months |
Analytics (only if you accept all)
If you choose “Accept all”, we load Microsoft Clarity to record anonymised session replays and heatmaps that help us see where the site is confusing and fix it, and Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used (pages, sessions). Clarity sets its own cookies, including _clck and _clsk. They load only after you accept all, and are never loaded if you choose “Essential only”. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies or tags, and we do not share this data with any ad network.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics 4, measures how the site is used (pages, sessions). Set only after you choose Accept all. | Up to 2 years | Optional |
Live visitor counter (no cookie)
We keep a live count of how many people are reading the site right now. This sets no cookie and stores no personal data: your browser holds a random, one-off tab identifier that is erased the moment you close the tab, and we record only an anonymous total. Because it identifies no one, it needs no consent and runs whichever banner choice you make.
Managing cookies
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which resets your cookie choice and lets you choose again. You can also block or delete cookies via your browser settings; blocking essential cookies will stop checkout working. If you choose “Essential only”, no analytics cookies are set.
