Your privacy & data rights
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have a number of rights regarding the personal data WillSafe UK holds about you. This page explains those rights and how to exercise them.
Submit a request
To exercise any of the rights below — or to submit a data protection complaint — email us at:
privacy@willsafe.org.ukPlease include your full name, the email address associated with your account (if any), and a description of your request. We aim to respond within one calendar month of receipt.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Right of access (Subject Access Request)
UK GDPR Art. 15Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and information about how we use it. We will respond within one calendar month.
Right to rectification
UK GDPR Art. 16Ask us to correct personal data that is inaccurate or complete data that is incomplete.
Right to erasure ('right to be forgotten')
UK GDPR Art. 17Request that we delete your personal data where there is no compelling reason for us to continue holding it.
Right to restriction of processing
UK GDPR Art. 18Ask us to limit the way we use your data — for example, while we verify the accuracy of data you have challenged.
Right to data portability
UK GDPR Art. 20Receive the personal data you provided to us in a commonly used, machine-readable format, or ask us to transmit it to another controller.
Right to object
UK GDPR Art. 21Object to processing based on legitimate interests or carried out for direct marketing purposes. We will stop unless we can demonstrate compelling grounds.
